Image details

  • Images are made at twice screen size, so the text stays sharp when you zoom in.
  • JPG files are smaller. PNG files keep the sharpest text.

What is an HWP file?

HWP is the file format of Hangul (한글), the word processor made by Hancom. Korean government offices use it widely, so you will see it in forms, notices and application packs.

HWPX is the newer version of the format. It keeps the document as XML files inside a ZIP archive, and it is a Korean national standard (KS X 6101).

This tool reads both formats in your browser, so you do not need to install Hangul.

Your file stays on your device

The page loads the converter into your browser, and your browser does the work. Your file is not sent to Seoulstart or to anyone else.

We count when a file is opened or converted, its file types, page count and size, and how long the conversion took. We do not see file names or what is inside your files.
