What is Awesome Korea Travel?
Awesome Korea Travel is Seoulstart's open-source list of the official portals, transit tools, booking platforms, and resident-tested guides people use to plan a trip to Korea. The GitHub repo is built for quick reference and community contributions. The Seoulstart travel hub covers the same ground with resident context: food, festivals, day trips, and the neighborhoods worth your time.
Use the repo when you want a scannable list of where to start. Use the Seoulstart hub when you want the reasoning behind each pick, from the best season to visit to which apps actually work on the ground. Both serve first-time visitors, repeat travelers, and residents showing friends and family around.

Do I need a K-ETA to visit South Korea?
Most visa-waiver visitors do. Apply only through the official K-ETA portal at k-eta.go.kr, since many copycat sites charge extra fees. Confirm your nationality's current requirement before you book, because the rules change periodically.
When is the best time to visit Korea?
Spring, around April, and autumn, around October, bring the most comfortable weather, along with the cherry blossom and fall foliage seasons. Summer is hot and humid with monsoon rain in July, and winter is cold but quieter and often cheaper.
Is Awesome Korea Travel free to use?
Yes. It is open source under the CC BY 4.0 license, so you can fork, translate, or reuse it as long as you credit the source. Suggestions and additions are welcome through pull requests on GitHub.
