Exactly how TOPIK scores map to F-2-7 points, why KIIP is often better long-term, and why TOPIK does NOT help with F-5.

Format, scoring, fee, and a plain answer on whether it adds F-2-7 visa points (it doesn't, as of 2026).

Up to 20 of 80 required points. Level 3 = 10 pts. Level 4 = 15 pts. Level 5 or higher = 20 pts (cap).

Level 3 minimum for Korean-taught undergrad at most schools. Level 4 common floor for grad programs.

Level 1+ unlocks 3-year residence period (vs. 1-year cap without language proof).

TOPIK does NOT satisfy the F-5 language requirement at any level. F-5 requires KIIP, not TOPIK.
