The Investment Risk position is a senior role within the SSIM Business Risk team. This person will work with a team of risk specialists to create, improve, and implement investment risk processes for SSIM. Functional responsibility will include providing risk oversight for portfolio exposures, covering a range of areas including equities, cash, fixed income, alternatives, with a focus on derivatives (options) risk quantification, oversight and reporting. This position requires the ability to grasp complex concepts coupled with a solid understanding of the various different asset classes and financial derivative instruments, risk measurement and analytics, quantitative modeling, and risk management techniques. The role involves interactions with SSIM investment teams globally, including portfolio management, product management, legal, and operations, depending on the task at hand. The position requires interaction with senior management, and ability to effectively communicate, in both written and verbal form, complex analytical processes to clients and regulators globally.
