Get to Know the Team

The Deliveries Marketplace team is the regional engine responsible for orchestrating Grab's three-sided delivery ecosystem across GrabFood, GrabMart, and GrabExpress. We partner with Product, Analytics, and Country Operations teams across Southeast Asia to balance supply, demand, and merchant availability. Get to Know the Role

Reporting to the Head of Deliveries Marketplace, you'll use data analytics, economic principles, and structured problem-solving to optimize our delivery ecosystem. You'll evaluate delivery-partner incentives, shift designs, consumer pricing, and demand-shaping initiatives to balance the needs of consumers, driver-partners, merchants, and the platform. This is an onsite role based in our Grab office, offering accelerated exposure to marketplace economics, experiment design, and regional operations.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will diagnose marketplace health and performance trends, analysing supply, demand, fulfilment efficiency, service reliability, partner utilisation, and unit economics to uncover root causes and growth opportunities.
• You will design and evaluate delivery-partner incentive and shift programmes, testing scheme structures to safeguard platform reliability while sustaining partner earnings and optimising operational spend.
• You will support dynamic customer pricing and demand-shaping initiatives, balancing platform competitiveness with healthy order conversion across key peak hours and high-demand zones.
• You will build measurement frameworks and lead experiment rollouts, collaborating with Analytics and Product teams to run A/B tests, track key marketplace KPIs, and translate experiment results into operational actions.
• You will partner cross-functionally with Country Operations and Product teams, scaling successful marketplace mechanisms and ensuring operational alignment across diverse regional markets.
• You will leverage Generative AI (GenAI) and automated tools to accelerate research, automate repetitive data querying workflows, synthesize market insights, and ideate new optimization strategies.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Marketplace & Analytics Experience: At least 4 years of relevant experience in marketplace analytics, operations strategy, pricing, incentives, management consulting, or economic analysis (prior experience in ride-hailing, food delivery, logistics, or multi-sided platforms is advantageous).
• Data & Technical Foundations: Demonstrated proficiency with SQL and spreadsheet modeling (Excel/ Google Sheets) to clean, analyze, and extract actionable insights from large, multi-dimensional datasets (knowledge of Python or data visualization tools like Tableau/ PowerBI is a plus).
• Marketplace Economics & Mechanism Design: Understanding of supply-and-demand mechanics, elasticity, incentive structures, dynamic pricing, or operational optimization frameworks.
• Structured Problem Solving & Business Acumen: Experience breaking down complex, ambiguous business problems, evaluating trade-offs, and building data-backed recommendations for operational stakeholders.
• Experimentation & Metric Design: Hands-on experience designing business metrics, setting up A/B tests or pilot experiments, and conducting impact evaluations.
• Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) to liaise with regional, Chinese speaking operating teams and stakeholders
• AI & Digital Enablement: You have experience engaging with AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, improve workflows, and contribute new ideas.
