Job Description: As a Buyer, this role will support Purchasing, Sales, Manufacturing, and Engineering departments in identification, development, and maintenance of prototype and pilot stage supply chain, inclusive of optimized costs, logistics, and delivery within our global supply base. Additionally, this role is responsible for Project management of supplier changes, outsourcing, and other projects to optimize product costs, while providing clear communication to key stakeholders on component status and timing of projects. o Execution of new product- as well as cost savings-projects and realization of the project targets for external procurement (Q, C, D). o Purchasing representative in Simultaneous Engineering teams and in saving-, outsourcing- and localization-projects, management of outsourcing subprojects. o Application of project management methodology and interdisciplinary moderation. o Inquiries for new parts/initiate pre-sourcing meeting for supplier pre-selection. o Carry out preventive quality measures with suppliers. o Procurement of prototypes (ABC samples), initial samples. o Technical release of suppliers/parts in accordance with Supplier Quality Management…
