About this festival
Nonsan produces roughly a third of South Korea's strawberry crop, and this festival, now in its 28th edition, is the largest agricultural festival of the spring season. The main site at Nonsan Public Stadium and Citizens' Family Park fills with harvest experiences, a strawberry foot spa, live concerts, and direct sales from local farms. The 2026 festival attracted around 670,000 visitors under the theme Nonsan Strawberries Seduce the World, confirming its place as a fixed point on the Korean spring calendar.
Getting there
Take the KTX from Seoul to Nonsan Station (about 1 hour 10 minutes) or an intercity bus from Seoul Express Bus Terminal (about 1 hour 30 minutes). The festival venue is within walking distance of Nonsan Bus Terminal, or a short taxi ride from Nonsan Station.
Tips
Arrive early on weekends as attendance tops 100,000 a day at peak. Paid strawberry-picking programmes sell out quickly; buy tickets at the gate on arrival. The festival is outdoors and usually mild in late March, but an umbrella is worth packing. Most main-stage signage has English.
