Korean resume (이력서) builder
The Korean-format resume foreign residents actually need. Photo placeholder, visa status, TOPIK level. Print to PDF, ready for any Korean job application.
인적사항 / Personal information
Korean employers expect Korean and English names side by side. The visa field signals whether you need sponsorship.
학력사항 / Education
Reverse chronological. Korean employers want graduation status (졸업 / 재학 / 휴학 / 중퇴) explicitly.
경력사항 / Work experience
Most recent first. Internships and part-time roles count if they are relevant.
자격증 / Certifications
기타 외국어 / Other languages
Korean and English are already on the resume from the personal info section. Add other languages here.
No additional languages added.
자기소개서 / Self-introduction
A short paragraph about your background, strengths, and motivation. Keep it under 500 characters for a 이력서. Longer versions go in a separate 자기소개서 document.

Why a Korean-format resume looks different
Korean recruiters expect a 이력서, not a Western CV. The structural differences matter, and Korean hiring teams filter on them: photo in the top right, date of birth and gender visible, education and experience in reverse chronological order with status labels (졸업, 재학, 휴학), and a separate Korean cover letter (자기소개서) at the end. A Western chronological CV without a photo will quietly underperform.
For foreign residents, a few fields matter more than they do for Korean applicants: visa status (the recruiter needs to know if you require sponsorship), Korean ability level (TOPIK or self-rated), and your English name alongside the Korean transliteration. This builder includes those by default.
What this prototype does and does not do
- Does: Renders a Korean-format 이력서 with all the standard sections, with a live preview you can print to PDF.
- Does not (yet): Tailor a 자기소개서 to a specific job posting, generate an English ATS-format CV and cover letter for English-medium Korea jobs, export to HWP and DOCX, run a 격식체 and 띄어쓰기 quality check, or size your photo to the 35×45mm Korean ID-photo standard. Those are paid features in the full Korea Pro version. Sign up below to get notified when it launches.
A note on the photo
Korean resumes traditionally include a 3.5cm x 4.5cm photo in the top right. Korean photo studios specialize in 이력서 사진 (resume photos), typically charging ₩10,000 to ₩50,000 for a session with retouching. If you do not have one yet, leave the placeholder and add the photo before you submit. The full version sizes your photo to the 35×45mm Korean ID-photo standard automatically.
