Employer’s description
Hi 👋 I’m Rosalia https://www.linkedin.com/in/rosaliacefalu/, and I look after our Product Marketing team at Ashby. I started my career in Product Marketing and helped build the Sales Enablement function at HubSpot during its journey from startup to IPO. Since then, I've worked across RevOps and Customer Marketing at Procore and Meta, partnering with incredible teams to bring differentiated products to market. I first heard of Ashby through our Head of Content, Anum, with whom I'd spent those early days at HubSpot, and was inspired by the level of thoughtfulness and operating principles I saw and read about. I joined Ashby in April of 2024 to lead Product Marketing, thrilled to build something meaningful with people I admire, and to help shape the future of hiring in a way that's thoughtful, effective, and human. We're a small team with high standards and mutual respect for our teammates and community. The way we do Product Marketing at Ashby reflects that, all with a good dose of fun 🎉. We value clarity over cleverness, lean into autonomy, and treat writing well and first-principles thinking as core parts of the job. We avoid jargon, favor plain English, and focus on helping customers and prospects genuinely understand what our product does and how it can help them. What we’re looking for We're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own our Enterprise narrative, content and enable our go-to-market teams with clarity and confidence. This includes the messaging, content, and sales support that helps us win and grow our largest, most complex customers. This role is about deeply understanding what it takes to sell and support Ashby at the Enterprise level: longer sales cycles, more sophisticated buying committees, and a much wider set of stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Analysts, Heads of Talent, RecOps, and more). You'll partner closely with our Director of Product Marketing to make sure Enterprise messaging ladders up to Ashby's overarching company narrative, while you go deep on what makes that narrative land specifically with Enterprise and upper mid-market buyers. You will synthesize inputs from customer research, product direction, market dynamics, and company vision into clear, compelling narratives that scale across the segment. You’ll work hand-in-hand with Solutions Engineers and Sales Leaders to drive success within the segment, as well as collaborate with other marketing teams such as our Content & Community, Demand Gen, Events and Partnerships, to influence campaigns for the Enterprise segment. This role is a great fit for someone who loves to problem-solve through complexity, enjoys working with sophisticated buyers, and wants to own a full segment end-to-end. Your Background There's no perfect path into this role. We're open to a variety of backgrounds, including: - Product Marketing - Sales Enablement - Competitive Intelligence - Solutions Consulting or Sales Engineering What You’ll Do Own Enterprise segment narrative development - Conduct deep research and develop messaging for the full Enterprise buying committee: Finance, Legal, Analysts, Heads of Talent, RecOps, and other stakeholders that don't show up the same way in smaller segments. - Translate Ashby's company-level narrative into a story that resonates with Enterprise and upper mid-market buyers. - Maintain the Enterprise messaging framework that empowers Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success to communicate, sell and service Ashby’s differentiation with confidence. Be a strategic partner to Enterprise sales - Partner deeply with Sales Leadership and Solutions Engineering to identify opportunities within the segment - Develop Enterprise-specific enablement and build campaigns and materials that support the Enterprise sales process. - Act as the source of truth and connective tissue between Marketing, CS, and Sales on how to speak to the Enterprise buyer, overall messaging and collateral - Deliver well-crafted trainings to sales in collaboration with other sales-supporting teams to move forward audience positioning and other key initiatives. Develop Enterprise-specific content - Own the content and collateral that's unique to Enterprise: case studies, decks, one-pagers, and campaigns, including 1-1 and 1-to-few ABM built for this buyer set. - Support TCO reports and ROI content that help Enterprise buyers and champions justify Ashby internally. - Make sure CS, Sales, and Marketing are aligned and working from the same Enterprise messaging. Examples of Projects You'll Work On - Support Enterprise ABM initiatives: Support enterprise messaging for the marketing ABM program with the content, and compelling creative campaigns that support 1-1 and 1-to-few messaging. - Analyst Relations Briefs: Partnering with Analyst Relations to prepare and brief analysts and press on Ashby’s offerings. - Sales Leadership Strategic Initiatives: Work with Sales Leadership to translate big ideas and top company priorities into actionable assets, initiatives and roll outs that the Sales Team can use to drive deals forward. - Enterprise buying committee messaging: Build out messaging tailored to secondary Enterprise stakeholders (Legal, Analysts, RecOps) who influence but don't lead the buying process. - Enterprise sales deck refresh: Partner with Sales leadership to refresh the core Enterprise pitch as our narrative evolves. - Cross-functional alignment: Make sure CS, Sales, and Marketing are aligned and using the same Enterprise messaging as new campaigns roll out. You Might Be a Fit If You ... - Love the complexity of Enterprise buying: multiple stakeholders, longer cycles, higher stakes. - Are a confident writer who can flex a company narrative to resonate with a more sophisticated, skeptical buyer. - Are comfortable owning your own copy and collaborating with design to produce polished, Enterprise-grade assets. - Like partnering closely with Sales and being in the room for their biggest deals. You Might Not Be a Fit If ... - You are drained by ambiguity or unsolved problems. - You don't love the enablement aspects of product marketing. - You'd rather work on message development in the abstract than get into the weeds of a specific deal or buyer. - You are not a confident writer and storyteller. Interview Process At Ashby, our team and interview process want to help you show your best self. Our interview process is structured to get to know you and your career as well as empower you with insight into our key focus areas. Here is the process in its entirety: - 30 min: Recruiter Screen with Talent Team - 45 min: Interview with Hiring Manager (Rosalia) - 30 min: Interview with Marketing - Assignment - Final Round with key stakeholders BENEFITS - You’ll get the time to do things the right way; we put a lot of emphasis on high quality work and avoid quick hacks as much as possible. - Competitive compensation is offered. - 10-year exercise window for stock options. You shouldn’t feel pressure to purchase stock options if you leave Ashby —do it when you feel financially comfortable. - Unlimited PTO with four weeks is recommended per year. Expect “Vacation?” in our one-on-one agenda until you start taking it 😅 - Twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US. We plan to expand this to employees in other countries as situations arise. - Generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget. Get what you need to be happy and productive! - $100/month education budget with more expensive items (like conferences) covered with manager approval. Ashby’s success hinges on hiring great people and creating an environment where we can be happy, feel challenged, and do our best work. We’re being deliberate about building that environment from the ground up.
