What you'd do
- Prepare ingredients for cooking by portioning,chopping,washing,and storing food for kitchen service
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes,quality standards,and presentation standards and checklists
- Operate kitchen equipment including ovens,stoves,grills,and fryers and test food for sufficient cooking
What they want
- Kitchen or culinary experience at entry level with ability to prepare food to recipe and quality standards
- Physical ability to stand for an extended period and handle objects up to 25 pounds during kitchen work
- Ability to operate commercial ovens,stoves,grills,and fryers and conduct temperature checks for food safety
Nice to have
- Prior Commis or kitchen prep experience in a hotel,high-volume restaurant,or catering kitchen
- Familiarity with food safety standards,HACCP,or equivalent kitchen hygiene certification requirements
