The opportunity Unity is shipping AI products into the hands of millions of creators, and the data infrastructure behind Unity’s Grow business is being rebuilt at the same time. This role is the lawyer at the center of both. You will be the legal owner for Unity’s AI product portfolio — in-editor and desktop AI agents, generative tooling, our agent plugin ecosystem, and the ML systems powering ad monetization — and for the identity and data-rights frameworks those products depend on. The questions are genuinely unsettled. Who owns the output of a generative tool a developer directs? What can a platform train on when 90% of games embed third-party marketplace assets? When does a telemetry default cross from convenience into a consent problem? You will not be applying a playbook. You will be writing it, and your written positions will govern how products get built. Short-term success (first two quarters): the uncovered matters have a clear owner and a documented position; product teams route AI and data questions to you by default rather than escalating; the highest-risk open items have decisions attached to them.
