WHAT YOU’LL DO:: • Own the design of motors and other electric machines for X-BAT and other next gen aircraft • Design sub-systems and components including wound field motor, permanent magnet motor, and motor mechanical structural components • Integrate designs with the aircraft structure, engine, power electronics, and thermal system • Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of electro-mechanical designs at a component and motor sub-system level • Release detailed work instructions and documentation in close collaboration with manufacturing • Execute hands on testing and full qualification on a representative dyno, engine test stand, and full aircraft • Perform…
