The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is implementing the Green Coupon Subsidy Facility (GCSF), Pillar III of the European Union’s Global Green Bond Initiative (GGBI). The Facility seeks to expand access of low- and middle-income countries to international and local green capital markets by reducing the cost of capital associated with eligible green and sustainability bond issuances. The GCSF provides targeted grant subsidies to eligible sovereign, sub-sovereign and corporate issuers to reduce debt-servicing costs associated with qualifying green and sustainability bonds.
