What you'd do
- Build and evolve Coupang Gateway Services infrastructure layer enabling reliable inter-service communication
- Design and implement high-performance distributed microservices components for the company-wide API gateway
- Drive technical architecture and engineering standards for the gateway platform across engineering teams
What they want
- Senior or staff-level backend engineering experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Deep expertise in designing high-throughput,low-latency API gateway or service mesh infrastructure systems
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin with strong understanding of concurrent and distributed computing principles
Nice to have
- Experience building API gateway,service mesh,or RPC framework infrastructure at large-scale platforms
- Background in open-source distributed systems projects or platform engineering at a major technology company
