Title: Director, Logistics Spend & Strategy Location: Warsaw Model: hybrid 3+2 The Clinical Manufacturing and Supply (CM&S) function is accountable for the supply of medicines to support AstraZeneca’s clinical trials. This includes planning, drug substance manufacture, drug product manufacture, packaging, labelling and distribution to depots / clinical investigator sites. The Clinical Logistics team within CM&S has the accountability to ensure the distribution and logistics requirements of our supply chains are being met. Reporting to the Senior Director Clinical Logistics and part of the Clinical Logistics team, the role will manage the CM&S Logistics budget and spend. Delivering operational, tactical and strategic activities and improvements relating to that area. Job Responsibilities: Sub-area owner: Logistics Spend Management and Strategy: • Ownership of the CM&S Logistics budget. • Ownership of business processes and solutions to effectively manage all logistics costs within CM&S. • Creation and execution of a ‘Cost to Serve’ model whereby logistics costs are managed within the function, and costs are allocated to appropriate clinical study / project cost centres. • Creation…
