We are seeking U.S.-based experts with direct underwriting experience in the Excess & Specialty Insurance market, particularly underwriting SME/commercial accounts.

Engagement Details

  • Initial pilot: 4 experts
  • Duration: 1 week
  • Commitment: ~20 hours per expert
  • Potential for follow-on work and a larger engagement

Requirements

  • Based in the United States
  • 3+ years of experience in Excess & Specialty Insurance underwriting (5+ years preferred)
  • Direct experience underwriting SME/commercial risks
  • Strong understanding of risk selection, pricing, coverage structuring, and portfolio management

Relevant Backgrounds

Experience in lines such as:

  • Excess Casualty
  • Professional Liability
  • Management Liability
  • Cyber
  • Environmental
  • Excess Property
  • E&S General Liability
  • Construction or Transportation specialty risks

Target employers include leading specialty carriers, MGAs, wholesale brokers, and E&S platforms such as Chubb, AIG, Markel, Arch, AXA XL, Liberty Mutual, Ryan Specialty, Amwins, CRC Group, and similar organizations.
